NorthStar Gaming to begin trading on TSX Venture Exchange

News

NorthStar Gaming has announced that its shares will officially begin trading tomorrow (March 8) on the TSX Venture Exchange.

This comes one day after NorthStar completed its reverse takeover of Baden Resources, the conclusion of an agreement reached in June 2022.

The deal saw Baden combine with NorthStar Gaming and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Baden. Baden also changed its name to NorthStar Gaming Holdings Inc, and its common shares were de-listed from the Canadian Stock Exchange.

This latest development formed part of the original deal. The shares that will begin trading tomorrow are shares from the new, combined business.

The shares will trade under the the symbol ‘BET’.

New appointments

Along with the listing, NorthStar announced the appointment of eight new directors to its company board.

Vic Bertrand, Brian Cooper, Chris Hodgson, Dean MacDonald, Chris McGinnis, Michael Moskowitz, Sylvia Prentice and Barry Shafran have years of experience in various industries, spanning gaming operations, broadcast programming and communications.

Hodgson, McGinnis, Moskowitz, Prentice and Shafran are – or have been in the past – directly involved in the gaming industry. Moskowitz is the CEO and founder partner of NorthStar, and McGinnis is the CFO at Playtech.

Last month, Playtech agreed to make a CA$12.25m (£7.7m/€8.7m/US$9.3m) strategic investment in NorthStar Gaming.
