Consumer spending on online gambling in Delaware fell for the second consecutive month in February, while sports betting handle fell to a six-month low.
Players wagered $38.0m on igaming during February, down 13.8% from $44.1m in January but 55.7% ahead of $24.4m in the same month last year.
Of this total, $23.0m was spent on video lottery games and $15.0m on online table games.
In terms of revenue, this reached $1.1m, only marginally lower than $1.2m in January and 30.5% more than $843,247 in 2022.
Some $800,562 of igaming revenue was attributed to video lottery games, with table games at $277,722 and poker rake and fees $44,816.
Delaware Park led the way with $481,750 in igaming revenue from $16.7m in wagers, ahead of Bally’s Dover with $337,743 off $11.3m and Harrington Raceway on $303,607 off $10.0m.
Sports betting
Turning to sports betting and handle for the month reached $4.1m, down 51.8% from $8.5m in January and 21.2% lower than $5.2m in February 2022. This was also the lowest monthly total since August 2022.
Sports wagering revenue amounted to $306,573, an 81.3% drop from $1.6m in January this year but 212.4% ahead of $98,135 in February of last year.
Delaware Park also retained top spot in the sports betting market with $65,908 in revenue from $966,910 in total bets for the month.
Harrington Raceway placed second with $38,182 from $477,443, ahead of Bally’s Dover on $17,355 off $238,683.
