DraftKings launches DK Horse app in 12 states

News

DraftKings has announced that its horseracing product, DK Horse, has officially launched in 12 states – and is set to launch in several more before the Kentucky Derby begins on May 6.

Players in Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming will now be able to access the DK Horse app.

The app allows players to partake in pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing. Wagers can be placed on a number of renowned horse races, including Churchill Downs’ products such as Oaks and Derby.

DK Horse will also feature videos of races, which players can stream.

In November last year, Churchill Downs Incorporated agreed that its B2B horse racing subsidiary, TwinSpires, would develop DK Horse in a multi-year deal.

“Together with Churchill Downs Incorporated, an industry leader with a deep-rooted history in horse racing, we will deliver an innovative, mobile customer experience,” said Jason Robins, CEO of DraftKings.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with best-in-class-sports and gaming products, and we expect DK Horse to provide a fun and new way to engage with renowned races like the upcoming Run for the Roses.”
