Gambling revenue in Nevada reached $1.24bn in February, with the state reporting a year-on-year increase of 11.7%.
Total market revenue was ahead of $1.11bn in February 2022 but 2.4% behind the $1.27bn reported by the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) in January of this year.
Slots generated the majority of gambling revenue for the month, with the $822.8m posted in February being 7.6% ahead of the same month last year. Multi-denomination slots drew $456.6m in revenue and penny slots $265.4m.
Revenue from table, counter and card games, including sports betting, activity amounted to $414.5m, up 18.8% on the previous year.
Blackjack led the way in this segment with $114.6m, then baccarat on $102.5m, roulette $40.2m and craps $36.6m.
In terms of sports wagering, revenue for the month stood at $41.3m, a year-on-year rise of 33.7%. Some $16.6m of this came from mobile betting.
Basketball betting generated $21.8m in revenue, ahead of football with $9.4m, despite the NFL’s end-of-season showpiece Superbowl taking place in February.
Revenue from Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, was $1.08bn, with revenue from the Las Vegas Strip reaching $712.5m.
