The NBA’s Philadeplphia 76ers have announced Pennsylvania’s largest casino Parx, based just outside Philadelphia, as its official local casino partner and “winning partner.”
Under the deal, Parx will offer a series of promotions based on the 76ers performance in the 2019-20 NBA season, including the “win for all” promotion in which Parx will provide a free play bonus to players within 150 miles of Philadelphia after every 76ers win. The bonus will be worth $25 for each of the team’s first 25 wins of the season, after which the bonus’s value will correspond to the number of wins the team has.
“On the eve of the 2019-20 season, we are proud to announce a partnership with Parx Casino that will create an interactive opportunity between our fans and Parx Casino’s gaming platforms,” Philadelphia 76ers president Chris Heck said in the release. “The ‘Win for All’ promotion provides a creative avenue for fans to interact with our first-ever ‘Official Winning Partner’ and plays upon the competitive spirit of Philadelphia fans.”
Parx Casino will also host six “76ers Nights” in every month from October to March as part of the deal and run additional 76ers-related bonus offers, including one planned for the team’s Christmas Day game against the Milwaukee Bucks. In addition, Parx will sponsor the 76ers postgame show on local sports radio station 97.5 The Fanatic.
“It is great to bring two highly-recognized, successful and popular Philadelphia area brands together,” Matthew Cullen, Parx Casino senior vice president of interactive gaming and sports, said. “We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership that drives Parx guests to support the 76ers and gives 76ers fans reasons to interact with Parx Casino both at the Bensalem property and via online casino products.”
This week, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board released its annual report, the first since sports betting launched in the state. Parx Casino ranked as the top performing of the state’s 12 casinos after posting revenue of $614.1m for the 2018-19 financial year.
