GAN to supply social gaming software to Agua Caliente tribal casinos

News

Supplier GAN has agreed to provide its Simulated Gaming social games software to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians for use at its two casinos and a golf resort in California.

As part of the deal, GAN will supply software at the band’s Agua Caliente Casino in Palm Springs and Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa in Rancho Mirage, as well as Indian Canyon Golf Resort in Palm Springs. All three locations are in the Coachella Valley area of Southern California.

GAN’s Simulated Gaming offering is a system of social casino software built for casino operators, containing regulatory controls such as know-your-customer checks and age verification processes. The software permits patrons to link reward cards to their online account and receive reward points.

Jeff Berman, chief commercial officer of GAN, said the band’s location in a key market was one reason why the deal was so attractive to his company.

“We are enormously privileged to bring one of America’s largest and most vibrant Native American casino resort operators online with our Simulated Gaming solution,” Berman said. “Southern California is a significant regional US gaming market, with the largest population concentration in the US, reinforcing GAN’s market position as the leading B2B enterprise software solution provider to brick and mortar US casinos.”

The Agua Caliente Band is the 15th US casino operator to make use of GAN’s software, and the sixth tribal operator to do so.

“We selected GAN for its proven success in helping casino properties launch online gaming and for its ability to embed our on-property rewards program into an online experience,” Bill Oliver, chief information officer of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, said.

“Equipped with GAN’s Simulated Gaming, we will now introduce our casino properties online to a wider audience of casino enthusiasts located in adjacent regional markets.”

GAN said in a statement that it anticipates the launch of the software at the band’s locations to occur in Q1 of 2020.

Earlier this month, GAN reported that stronger-than-expected demand for its sports betting services in the US helped to drive gross operator revenue up 202.7% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2019.
