Clarion Gaming has teamed up with Gambling.com Group to host the second edition of the affiliate giant’s Amercian Gambling Awards at May’s ICE North America conference.
The awards, launched in 2019, are the first and only ceremony dedicated to the US online gambling market, celebrating business and operational excellence, and the individuals that are driving the growth of the market.
The inaugural event featured 14 categories, ranging from online casino, sportsbook, horseracing and fantasy awards, to industry suppliers, policy-makers, lawyers and regulators.
This year’s ceremony will take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, on May 14, the second day of ICE North America.
“The American online gambling market is unprecedentedly dynamic, and as the industry grows, so will the American Gambling Awards,” said Gambling.com Group
“For the 2020 edition, we will build on the excitement from last year’s program and expand our footprint with new award categories, judges and a partnership with Clarion to bring the celebration to New Orleans in May.”
ICE North America event director Rory Credland said the addition of the American Gambling Awards would complement the event’s strong content agenda, networking opportunities and social events.
“The American Gambling Awards launched in 2019 to bring positive attention to the leaders making online gambling a reality, and we couldn’t be more excited to host the nominees, judges, winners and guests of the awards, in conjunction with our event,” he added.
Nominations for the 2020 American Gambling Awards will open on February 18, with the final shortlist of nominees to be announced on March 30.
The partnership sees Clarion strengthen ICE North America further by making it a platform for existing industry conferences and ceremonies. This has already seen the organizer join forces with the Mississippi Gaming and Hospitality Association to merge the Southern Gaming Summit (SGS) with ICE North America.
This will see SGS’ conference content integrated into ICE North America’s free-to-attend programme. The summit’s popular networking events including a golf tournament, the Global Gaming Women’s Luncheon and the Hall of Fame, celebrating industry leaders’ careers will also become part of the show.
