Twin River reopens Hard Rock Biloxi Casino

News

Twin River Worldwide Holdings’ Hard Rock Biloxi Casino in Mississippi reopened on  May 21, joining other major casinos in the state in resuming activities following the novel coronavirus (Covid-19 lockdown).

Mississippi – alongside Louisiana – has been among the earliest states in allowing casinos to reopen, provided that they abide by new measures to help combat the spread of the virus, including operating with limited capacity and promoting social distancing throughout their facilities.

In line with new Mississippi Gaming Commission guidelines, the casino will operate at 50% capacity while slot machines and table games will be set up to allow distancing between players.

Among the other steps taken by Twin River to limit the spread of the virus are the installation of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the property, increased cleaning protocols for slot machines, common dining areas, “touch points” such as railings and entrances.

In addition, staff will be instructed to approach guests and other staff who are demonstrating any respiratory illness or symptoms to help them seek medical assistance and will continue to monitor updates from organisations such as the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organisation.

Casinos operated by MGM Resorts, Boyd Gaming, Penn National Gaming, Churchill Downs Incorporated the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe also reopened in the state.
