The Delaware Lottery has reported a 144.4% year-on-year increase in online gambling revenue in July, while player spending more than doubled to $20.8m.
Revenue for the month amounted to $705,533, up from $288,675 in the same month last year, though this represented a 28.9% decline from June’s $964,607 total.
Amounts wagered also jumped 162.4% from $7.9m in July of last year to $20.8m, with players winning a total of $20.1m during the month.
Video lottery was again the most popular product vertical, generating $560,552 in revenue from $12.9m in bets. Table games followed with $82,376 in revenue and $7.9m in wagers, while poker rake and fees totalled $62,604.
Some 668 consumers signed up for online casino accounts during the month.
Delaware Park regained top spot in the market after slipping to second in June, posting $298,844 in igaming revenue from $7.3m off in bets during the month.
Dover Downs, which led the market in June, posted $235,794 in revenue, but did see the highest handle of the state’s three igaming operators, taking a total of $7.6m in bets in July.
Harrington Raceway, the only other licensed operator in Delaware, announced $170,895 in revenue for the month off $5.8m in total igaming wagers.
For the year to date, through to the end of July, Delaware’s igaming market has generated revenue of $4.9m, up 146.7% on 2019, while the state’s handle also increased 69.7% from $71.5m to $121.3m.
