Betting technology supplier Sportech has been accepted as an associate member of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).
NASPL focuses on promoting the benefits of state and provincial lotteries, and advocating in matters of general policy.
Established in 1971, the NASPL represents a total of 53 lottery organizations and work with a range of associated members including Intralot, Scientific Games and International Game Technology (IGT).
“With a complete business-to-business solution that encompass 200+ lottery draw games, unique games content, robust gaming management systems, lottery terminal hardware and software, interactive solutions, and both in-person and interactive digital charitable raffles, Sportech is well positioned to contribute to and benefit from participation in NASPL as an associate member,” Sportech said.
The announcement comes after Sportech this week announced that its losses had widened five-fold in the first half of 2020, as the impact of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) saw revenue fall 38.7% to £21.8m (€22.2m/$25.8m).
Sportech’s overall loss for the six months to June 30 amounted to £10.7m, up by 427.3% from the loss it made the year prior.
