Online gambling revenue in the state of Delaware totalled $808,623 in August, up 263.4% year-on-year and also an improvement on July’s figures.
Data from the Delaware Lottery showed igaming revenue was significantly up from $222,504 in August 2019, while the total represented a 15.1% increase on the the $702,533 posted in July.
Consumers wagered a total of $19.8m on igaming with the state’s three licensed operators in August, up 58.4% on last year, but the lowest monthly amount since March.
Online video lottery remained the most popular product vertical, with players spending $11.4m and operators generating revenue of $572,539. Table games revenue came to $181,500 from $8.4m in bets, while operators generated an additional $54,584 in poker rake and fees.
Players won $19.1m from online gambling during the month, while some 571 new customer registrations were recorded in August, the lowest monthly total since February.
In terms of individual operator performances, Dover Downs reclaimed top spot in the market by posting $331,457 in revenue from $7.8m in total online bets.
Delaware Park, which led the market in August, saw revenue reach $259,988 after players wagered $7.4m. Harrington Raceway ranked third with $217,179 in revenue from $4.7m in stakes.
For the year to date, total online gambling revenue stood at $5.7m at the end of August, up 146.8% year-on-year, while player spending was also 68.0% higher at $141.1m.
