Online operator BetMGM has announced the launch of its poker product in Michigan today (March 22).
Michigan players can now join poker rooms with state-wide players, through the BetMGM Poker mobile app. The app offers signature poker tournaments, along with cash-games at all buy-in levels.
Michigan is the second state in the US in which BetMGM Poker is active, joining New Jersey.
“The launch of BetMGM Poker in Michigan fully rounds out our premier gaming portfolio in the state,” said Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer, BetMGM.
“BetMGM’s sports betting and casino offerings have been met with incredible early success in Michigan and we’re thrilled to provide players with another exciting gaming option.”
Currently, players in Michigan may only play poker with other Michiganders. However, the state passed an inter-state poker bill earlier this year, which should allow for liquidity to be pooled with other legal poker states such as Nevada and New Jersey.
The news comes after BetMGM announced a partnership with IMG arena to offer Golf Event Center earlier today.
