Rhode Island sportsbooks revenue totaled at $1.5m in February, a 33.0% decrease from February 2020 and 58.5% drop from January 2021.
Players wagered $34.1m on sports during the month, down 14.3% from the previous month but up 21.2% from $28.1m in the same month of 2020.
Mobile betting revenue came to $975,735, more than double 2020’s mobile betting total, but land-based revenue between the Twin River Casino and the Tiverton Casino amounted to $580,089, down 67.7%.
Players wagered $17.8m on mobile betting in February, in comparison to the $16.2m wagered between the Twin River and Tiverton Casino retail sportsbooks.
Comparing the two land-based sportsbooks, Tiverton Casino performed better during the month, posting $332,397 from $4.7m bets. However, players continued to stake more at Twin River, at $11.6m.
From the beginning of the financial year in July, the overall revenue has totaled $22.6m, with players spending a total of $227.6m throughout.
