Entain Foundation funds postgraduate betting and gaming law program

News

Entain Foundation US has announced that it has funded Seton Hall Law School’s Sports Betting and Gaming Law, Compliance and Integrity Program.

The program, which is also known as Seton Hall Bootcamp, aims to provide in-depth training into betting and gaming regulations throughout the US to strengthen the skills of recent graduates and other professionals.

The program will take place between September 19 and September 22 in New Jersey.

The curriculum focuses on content in relation to a number of roles in the industry, including executives, attorneys, responsible gambling advocates and compliance officers.

On a wider basis the program will cover initiatives, from state and provincial to nationwide.

“Knowledge, experience, expertise and integrity are needed to build and assure a robust and successful sports betting and gaming industry in the U.S. that delivers on its promise of safe and enjoyable entertainment,” said Martin Lycka, Entain’s senior vice president for U.S regulatory affairs and responsible gambling, foundation trustee and board member.

“Seton Hall is a pioneer in this endeavor, and this year’s program will help to develop the best talent for the challenges ahead.”

In addition, the program will feature several speakers, including business executives, government officials and legal scholars.

“With the Entain Foundation’s U.S. sponsorship, we are honored to host this 2nd Bootcamp second program for a broader spectrum of professionals, especially after the pandemic challenges of the past year,” said Kathleen Boozang, Dean and professor of Law at Seton Law School.

“Our legal faculty and speakers are the best in the business; every one of them is an expert in their field and many are executives from the world’s best-known operators and leading state agencies.”

Earlier this week, the Entain Foundation announced its support of a global training program, Gendered Innovations, to enhance gender perspectives in research.
