DraftKings has entered into a sports betting deal with the manager of Boot Hill Casino, allowing it to enter the Kansas online betting market if legislation permits.
The deal would see DraftKings’ mobile sportsbook become available in the state of Kansas, pending the passage of legislation.
The launch of sports betting in Kansas is reliant on whether Senate Bill 84 passes. The bill was introduced in January this year and initially passed Senate by a vote of 26-12.
In March, the bill was referred to the House Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
If the bill becomes law land-based casinos will be allowed to build retail and mobile sportsbooks, which will be regulated by the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.

DraftKings currently offers sports wagering products across 18 states, most recently in Connecticut after sports wagering launched in the state in October.

Butler National Corporation acquired the remaining stake in Boot Hill Casino Manager last month, making it the sole owner of the business.
