Consumer spending on sports betting in Colorado continued to increase month-on-month in November, while the US state also reported year-on-year growth.
Players wagered a total of $552.6m during the month, an increase of 16.2% on November 2021 and 4.9% ahead of $526.9m in October of 2022.
Of this total, $548.0m was spent wagering on sports online, while a further $4.7m was bet at retail sportsbooks across Colorado.
Turning to gross gaming revenue, operators generated $37.6m for the month, an increase of 2.2% on November of the previous year 3.0% more than $36.5m in October 2022.
Online betting accounted for $37.1m of all revenue for the month, while the contribution from retail was $453,625.
Basketball leads the way
Basketball overtook football to become the most popular sport to bet on in Colorado during the month, attracting $142.2m in bets across online and retail.
Football betting amounted to $135.3m, while college football betting reached $48.1m and college basketball $39.0m.
Players won $515.0m from sports wagering during the month, while Colorado was able to collect $2.6m in sports betting taxes.
