Fluter Entertainment-owned sports betting giant FanDuel has announced a partnership with software group Gamban, to offer free site blocking software to players that self-exclude or identify as having a gambling problem.
Customers that self-exclude from FanDuel’s real-money gaming sites, or establish that they have a gambling problem, can avail themselves of a free Gamban subscription.
The subscription blocks users from accessing every FanDuel site and thousands of real-money gambling sites across 15 personal devices.
The partnership will see Gamban’s blocking software complement FanDuel’s existing responsible gaming tools, including limits on wagers, deposits and time.
“Educating customers about the importance of gambling responsibly and within limits is a business imperative and ethically the right thing to do,” said Carolyn Renzin, chief risk & compliance officer of FanDuel.
“Offering Gamban’s software to those customers signaling they need help adds another layer of protection for our customers, our program, and to the industry.”
Gamban has a pre-existing partnership with Flutter Entertainment, FanDuel’s parent company.
Last week unibet operator Kindred became the first gambling operator in the US to offer gambling blocking software to its customers though its own partnership with Gamban.
