International Game Technology (IGT) has appointed Dr. Samantha Ravich as an independent director as part of an effort to enhance its cybersecurity measures.
Ravich, who will now serve on the IGT nominating and corporate governance committee, is currently chair of the Centre on Cyber and Technology Innovation at the Foundation for Defence of Democracies and its Transformative Cyber Innovation Lab in the US.
She is also vice chair of the US President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, as well as a commissioner on the Cyberspace Solarium Commission and a member of the Secretary of Energy’s Advisory Board.
Previously, Ravich was Deputy National Security Advisor for Vice President Dick Cheney, who served in the role under Former President George W. Bush.
“Samantha’s extensive experience, and focus on cybersecurity, are welcome complements to the existing expertise of our board members,” IGT chairperson Lorenzo Pellicioli said. “We look forward to working with her.”
Meanwhile, IGT has confirmed that the FanDuel Sportsbook in Pennsylvania is now leveraging the full omni-channel capabilities of the IGT PlayDigital sports betting platform.
IGT PlayDigital will enable Connected Play, providing patrons of the sportsbook the option to place pre-match and in-play bets over the counter, at self-service betting kiosks, and via FanDuel’s mobile app.
FanDuel is operating the sportsbook in partnership with Boyd Gaming and Valley Forge Casino Resort.

IGT PlayDigital’s sports betting platform also powers FanDuel’s sports betting operations at The New Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey, as well as the new sportsbook at Tioga Downs Casino in New York, and the sports betting venue at The Greenbrier Casino Club in West Virginia.
