Kambi Group is to provide its multi-channel sportsbook technology to properties owned by JACK Entertainment in the US.
Kambi will again team up with GAN to provide a full online service to JACK should online gaming and sports betting be legalised in Ohio. It will also provide on-property sportsbook services at JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino, a thoroughbred racing and gaming facility in North Randell, Ohio, should enabling legislation and corresponding regulatory approvals come to pass.
With Michigan-based JACK also operational in Kentucky and Maryland, the long-term contract also includes provisions to extend the partnership into further US jurisdictions should commercially attractive opportunities arise.
“JACK Entertainment is clearly a major player in the Ohio market, and has been a primary target for us in the US as we build on our strategy to create unique and engaging sports betting experiences with visionary operators,” Kambi’s chief executive officer Kristian Nylén said.
“The management team at JACK Entertainment were quick to recognise the comprehensive omni-channel excellence offered by the Kambi sportsbook, and how effectively this will complement their ongoing delivery of top-quality gaming and entertainment.”
Under the terms of the deal, JACK will gain access to Kambi’s scalable technology and utilise the technology supplier’s open APIs to build its front-end proposition.
Adam Suliman, vice president of sports and digital gaming at JACK, said: “We feel strongly that Kambi’s best-in-class platform, combined with JACK Entertainment’s properties and brand, will allow us to deliver the very best sports betting products and experiences to our patrons in Ohio.”
Ohio would be a significant market for Kambi and other sports betting operators and suppliers. It is the seventh most populous US state and home to a large number of professional sports teams, including the NFL’s Cleveland Browns and NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
Kambi is already operational alongside GAN in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Parx Casino’s online sportsbook went live recently following the integration of the Kambi platform into the Parx player account management system, which is supplied by GAN, the casino’s technology partner.
Last month Kambi signed a multi-state contract extension with DraftKings – which it works with in New Jersey – that would see the two work together in an additional eight states, including New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana.
