Gamification technology company Low6 has announced its latest partnership with basketball team Detroit Pistons through the release of a free-to-play Pistons Picks game.
Low6 is based in the UK, but operates in the US and Canada. It first entered North America last month with the announcement of a partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and recently announced a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals.
The free-to-play Piston Picks game will take the same format as other “picks” games currently on the market , such as the MMA’S UFC Picks and European Tour Picks.
“We are delighted to announce our first NBA franchise partner, the Detroit Pistons,” said Jamie Mitchell, Low6 co-founder and group CEO.
“We are thrilled to be working with a team which has such a great history, including three NBA titles, and this partnership with Low6 will bring next-level gamification for fans.”
“It’s very exciting to continue bringing supporters closer than ever to the action as we continue to build our profile in the States.”
The game will see players make predictions on game outcomes to accumulate points. Exclusive Piston Pick prizes will be available to those who collect the highest amount of points.
“The Detroit Pistons are thrilled to partner with Low6 to launch our new, free-to-play game, Pistons Picks” said Brenden Mallette, senior vice president of corporate partnerships & engagement for the Detroit Pistons.
“The Detroit Pistons organization is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to interact and engage with our fans, and this game will do just that.”
