The New Hampshire Lottery has added eNASCAR to its online sports betting platform to help fill the void left by the cancellation and postponement of traditional sporting events due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
Based on the NASCAR stock car racing series, eNASCAR features a virtual race, in which online drivers compete in simulated real cars, tracks and races.
NASCAR launched eNASCAR in 2018 and operates the iRacing Series through a partnership with Coca-Cola, with 40 leading sim racers competing in a 20-race schedule
The next eNASCAR race – round six of the Coca-Cola iRacing Series – will take place on April 28 at the simulated Dover International Speedway through the iRacing virtual simulation platform.
“The New Hampshire Lottery is constantly looking for ways to engage our players and to attract new audiences and eNASCAR represents a strategic addition to our sports betting portfolio,” New Hampshire Lottery executive director Charlie McIntyre said.
“This new sporting event offers an exciting new opportunity for our players to experience the thrill of winning.”
In its last market update published in February, the New Hampshire Lottery revealed that it processed more than 1m bets during the first six weeks of regulated sports wagering in the state.
Since the Lottery and partner DraftKings launched legal online and mobile sports betting on December 30, 2019, more than 36,923 registered users wagered over $28.6m on sports.
