Penn National Gaming has finalised a partnership with sports data and content provider Sportradar, to use its official National Football League (NFL) data on its sports betting platforms.
The operator said the partnership would allow it to use the official NFL play-by-play data feed to offer a wider range of in-play betting markets on NFL games, at both retail sportsbooks and via its Kambi-powered Barstool Sportsbook app.
The app is due to go live in the third quarter of 2020, and is being launched through the 40-year sports betting and online casino partnership struck with sports media giant Barstool Sports in January 2020.
That deal, which also saw Penn National acquire a 36% stake in the business, gives the operator exclusive use of the Barstool brand for retail and online betting, and for online casino.
Commenting on the Sportradar partnership, Jon Kaplowitz, senior vice president of the operator’s interactive division, said he was “thrilled” to be working with the supplier.
“Delivering official NFL data to our growing, loyal audience, including over 66 million Barstool fans and our 20 million casino customers, will provide tremendous wagering opportunities where we operate sports books across the country,” he said.
Sportradar vice president of US sales and gaming Neale Deeley described Penn National as being “at the forefront of sports betting” in the market.
“We look forward to working together and providing a unique betting experience for their loyal customers during the upcoming NFL season and beyond,” he added.
