The return of the NFL boosted Pennsylvania’s sports betting sector, while online casino posted yet another strong month in September, with market leaders reaping most of the rewards.
Sports betting revenue came to $28.3m, with the majority – $21.1m – coming from online sports betting. Statewide handle was $578.7m, up from $348.5m from the previous month.
Sports betting revenue was dominated by FanDuel’s sportsbook at Valley Forge, which brought in more than half of the state’s revenue.
iGaming revenue was up 71.5% from 2020 to $97.8m – an increase on the $88.7m recorded last month. DraftKings partner Hollywood Casino had the highest igaming revenue with $38.6m, with Rivers Casino coming in second with $26.7m. Valley Forge Casino had igaming revenue of $15.8m.
