Gambling technology group Playtech has expanded into the Michigan market by launching a new igaming mobile app in partnership with platform provider Parx Interactive and the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians.
Play Gun Lake will run on Playtech’s IMS platform and Player Account Management and feature a range of online gambling content from Playtech.
The new app is based around the tribe’s Gun Lake Casino, which, together with Parx ,this week secured approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board to launch in the state.
The launch forms part of a partnership agreed between Playtech and Parx Interactive in February, with further igaming roll-outs planned in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Indiana
“Parx is constantly expanding its offerings to take user experience to another level, and to do so with Playtech’s industry leading content is particularly exciting,” Parx Casino’s senior vice president of igaming and sports, Matthew Cullen, said.
Playtech’s chief operating officer Shimon Akad added: “The launch of Playtech’s igaming partnership with Parx Casino is another key milestone in the development and delivery of our US strategy.
“The US is a highly sophisticated market and therefore demands a technology solution that provides a high-quality customer experience.”
The launch marks the latest step in Playtech’s ongoing US growth plans, after the group last month also announced plans to open its first live casino studio in the country after securing a multi-year lease at a site in the city of Southfield, Michigan.
Playtech also has partnerships in place with both Bet365 and MGM and Entain joint venture BetMGM in New Jersey.
