Players in Rhode Island wagered $61.2m on sports during November, the highest monthly total of the 2022 calendar year.
The figure was 16.1% higher than $52.7m in November of 2021 and up 10.3% from $55.5m in October 2022, as well as surpassing the previous year-high of $58.6m in January 2022.
Some $37.0m was spent betting online in November, while retail sportsbooks across Twin River and Tiverton Casino processed a total of $24.2m. Twin River took $17.0m in bets and Tiverton Casino $7.2m.
However, when looking at revenue and the monthly total of $4.9m, this was 26.9% behind the $6.7m generated in November 2021 and also 21.0% behind $6.2m in October 2022.
Online revenue for the month reached $2.5m, while retail revenue amounted to $2.4m, with the latter being split $1.7m for Twin River and $745,374 at Tiverton Casino.
It was also reported that players won $56.3m from wagering on sports during November.
For the state’s financial year to date, covering the five months to the end of November, its sports betting handle amounted to $211.4m, while revenue reached $23.3m and player winnings $188.1m.
