Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has soft launched a new PlaySugarHouse online sportsbook in partnership with Connecticut Lottery Corporation.
Accessible from today (12 October), the PlaySugarHouse sportsbook will allow consumers in Connecticut to place online wagers on a range of sports and competitions.
Players can bet via their mobile device or on a computer during the soft launch period, with this facility to be expanded to 15 PlaySugarHouse retail sportsbooks across the state at a later date.
“We are confident that with our huge volume of betting content, wide range of deposit and withdrawal methods, real-time cash-out approvals, and best-in-class customer service, Connecticut players will come to prefer PlaySugarHouse when wagering on their favorite sports,” RSI chief executive Richard Schwartz said.
The Connecticut Lottery Corporation announced in August that it had reached a deal with RSI to offer sports betting in Connecticut, securing one of the states’ three sports wagering skins.
The Mohegan tribe and FanDuel, and the Mashantucket Pequot tribe and DraftKings picked up the other skins and will also soft launch their offerings this week.
Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) gave its approval for the soft launch of online sports betting and igaming in the state from today.
Online sports betting during the soft launch period will be limited to between the hours of 3pm and 11pm on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, then 12:00pm to 11:59pm on Thursday and Friday. This will be expanded to a 24-hour cycle through the rest of the soft launch period.
The scope of the soft launch is further limited to wagering by 750 consumers directly on the online platform for all operators.
