Sports betting integrity monitor US Integrity has partnered with game data platform Grid to develop a new solution for the esports market.
Under the arrangement, US Integrity will use official in-game data from Grid’s data platform to expand its services portfolio to esports.
This will include monitoring integrity, suspicious or fraudulent activity at esports events, as well as the development of interactive dashboards and educational resources.
In addition, Grid will provide US Integrity with consultancy and support from its in-house esports integrity team.
US Integrity and Grid added that the partnership aims to support the regulatory expansion of esports betting legislation in the US.
‘’Integrity encompasses more than just fighting against match-fixing,” US Integrity chief operating officer Scott Sadin said. “It entails education, policies, and procedures; a framework that fosters the sustainable growth of any ecosystem.
“Grid is committed to constructing a fair esports environment with official data at its core. Via their successful partnerships with rights holders, and cutting-edge technology, we see Grid as a natural industry leader and an excellent collaborator in the endeavor to establish new integrity frameworks in esports.”
Grid works with rights holders in games and esports, helping them source, manage, protect and distribute in-game data. The platform’s consumer network features over 350 integrated commercial data users in betting, media, broadcast, AI and fan engagement.
Grid chief executive Moritz Maurer added: “Grid and US Integrity share a vision for a data driven integrity approach in esports. Combining our expertise, we aim to ensure the integrity of the match, the source, and the bet in any esports title and introduce more scalable frameworks for the industry as a whole.”
Commitment to US
The new partnership comes after US Integrity in April agreed to support the American Gaming Association’s ‘Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ public service campaign.
Under the partnership, US Integrity will promote the initiative to its client list of professional and collegiate sports properties, as well as regulated sportsbook operators across North America.
Earlier this year, US Integrity also linked up with Odds On Compliance to launch a new joint venture. This focused on the roll out of a prohibited bettor solution for the sports betting industry.
ProhiBet is the first offering to launch from the new Secure Sports Solutions (S3) joint venture, with the two parties saying it will offer the only prohibited bettor solution in sports wagering.
